Meet Annie, a resilient sheep who overcame a harrowing hoarding situation in North Carolina. Rescued alongside her bonded companion Virginia, Annie arrived at our sanctuary with a wild hairstyle and adorable freckles, reminiscent of her namesake, Little Orphan Annie.

Initially not accepted by our livestock guardian dogs, Annie and Virginia found their place among our pig herd, where they quickly integrated and found unexpected joy in nurturing our young Champion. From the moment Champion arrived, Annie and Virginia took on the role of devoted nannies, inseparable from their new charge.
